Florence nightingale is a British nurse, statistician and social reformer and foundation philosopher of modern nursing. She is called A Lady with the lamp because she greatly improved the conditions and many more soldiers survived. She used to visit soldiers at night with a small lantern in her hand.

Historically as well as today, nurses are at the front line of fighting epidemics. Nurses account for more than half of all the worlds health workers, yet there is an shortage of nurses world wide.
